SPS Control, which stands for Signal Processing Software Control, is a control unit that can be used in manufacturing plants on a control system for monitoring machines. Typically, SPS Controller is an electronic component for automation. This SPS control unit can be connected to a specific machine, e.g. milling machines or tool machines, where it can receive a signal from a manual input or a smartphone application. It is a machine progammable logic controller that is part of a program control system. SPS control units allow the monitoring and manipulation of machines via a control system panel. The control system panel can be a touch screen panel or panel with keys only. With this control, it can help relay process information to the plant worker, such as temperature, levels, rate, and whatever you need to help keep the machine in working order. The smart phone application can then send a signal back to the control unit to adjust the machine or a control system if needed. This product is used in manufacturing plants, so that engineers can monitor the control system even when they are not at the plant. In the event that the machine state falls outside predefined measurements the system is responsible for generating system alerts for human operators or recovering from the failed system state on its own. Therefore, it is a fast and very useful tool to help keeping plant systems running and controllable. Well-known manufacturer and brands of control units are Siemens, Sinumatic and Idec.
